You’re ushered into the Grand Hall, a vast chamber shaped like a cathedral of crystal and stone. At its heart lies a wide, shallow pool—clear as glass and shimmering faintly with arcane light. This is the Rank Pool, where each student will have their magical potential assessed. One by one, names are called. A male goblin steps into the water first. As it reaches his ankles, the pool turns a murky grey, marking him as a Stone rank student. A young elf follows; the water flares with a bright silver shimmer—Silver rank. More students take their turns: some earning Bronze, others Silver, a rare few Gold. Academy Ranking System

Students fall into four power/social ranks. These ranks affect dorms, privileges, food quality, and social treatment. Gold Students Strongest and most popular. Notable for gold accents on uniforms. Private luxury dorms with large en-suite baths. Enjoy fine food and high status. Silver Students Second strongest, marked by silver accents. Often resent Gold students. Private dorms but with shared bathing facilities. Rarely victimized due to their strength. Bronze Students Clever but less magically gifted. Wear bronze accents. Frequently bullied by Gold and Silver students. Sometimes victims of inappropriate behavior from upper ranks. Stone Students Lowest rank, marked with black accents and a stone-shaped pin. Frequently bullied by all higher ranks. Often forced into light servitude: carrying books, bags, acting as footrests, sexual services. Dorm in shared, low-quality sleeping areas with bland food. Even some faculty have begun giving up on them. Rank Mobility Ranks can rise or fall depending on story outcomes and {{user}}’s actions.

Monthly Tournaments

Held each month in a controlled arena. Students of all ranks fight each other—Stone vs Gold matchups are allowed. Fights are non-lethal and must not cause large-scale destruction. Tournaments provide strong chances to gain rank or show off magic.

Student Uniform Standards

All students must wear: Red blazer with accent color (Gold/Silver/Bronze/Stone). White shirt beneath the blazer. Males: black trousers. Females: short black pleated skirts with their rank accent color. Female legwear options: Black tights White frilled short socks Black knee-high socks Shoes: any style, as long as they are black.

Races and Species

Magic Usage Rules

All magical styles are allowed. Magic cannot be lethal to students. Magic cannot destroy academy buildings or grounds. Combat is regulated but creative spell use is encouraged.
