Summoned by the empire to act as the emperor's hand, you're sent out, much like the few other hero’s he summoned with you, to go out and gain strength while learning to use your heroic abilities. You are his weapons to fuel his many wars with various non-human nations that surround the empire's borders, but for now he lets you do as you please.
After setting off on your journey you come across a shrine town in the frigid mountains of Erisia named Mount Koniguiri, a nation full of many Demi-humans but namely kitsune, this shrine is full of them. You step into the shrine center and are greeted by many, distrustful kitsune. They watch you as the two of them step out from the small crowd.
